На сайте МИД Великобритания опубликовано дополнение к списку лиц, в отношении которых введены санкции. В пресс-релизе сообщается, что Королевство ввело санкции в отношении 22 российских официальных лиц за поддержку частичной мобилизации.

Теперь в этом списке есть и глава Дагестана Сергей Меликов, под №1445. Сергею Меликову запрещён въезд в Великобританию. В обосновании указано, что он глава региона и проводил работу по поддержке мобилизации.

Сергей Меликов прокомментировал журналистам своё попадание в станционный список:

«Я с самого начала и до завершения буду поддерживать действия Российской Федерации в ходе специальной военной операции. Я буду поддерживать всех военнослужащих, которые  сегодня защищают свободу нашей страны. В том числе на наших новых территориях. Ей целостность и неделимость. Мы большую работу проводили и будем проводить в Дагестане по поддержке семей военнослужащих, участвующих в специальной военной операции. И безусловно я солдат своей страны и солдат нашего президента и буду выполнять все, что будет приказывать мой командир, наш верховный главнокомандующий». 

Надо напомнить, что в списке  Великобритании есть и другие дагестанские политики. В частности депутат Нурбаганд Нурбагандов включён в список в марте 2022 года
